Pirates Descend Upon The Quaint Town of Portsmouth, NH

By, Katie Hery.

Portsmouth, NH— The New Hampshire Film Festival is incredibly excited to announce their continued partnership with The Seacoast Repertory Theater. A non-profit, professional theater, The Seacoast Rep is committed to contributing cultural significance to the region. Year round, audience members may experience live theater, and numerous collaborations with community arts organizations.  Located in the heart of downtown Portsmouth, the theater encourages all who enter through their doors to expand their imagination and love for the arts.  A more perfect partnership could not be invented.

NHFF is elated to promote The Rep’s upcoming summer show “Pirates of Penzance” as part of their Mainstage Production series.  The Pirates of Penzance will feature music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by W.S. Gilbert. This widely popular story held up over time, originally opening in 1879, is a wild and bold account of pirates, young lovers, and a very outrageous Major-General.  The Pirates will descend upon the Seacoast on June 13th through July 19th.

The Rep’s 2014 Mainstage Production series will feature performances on Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm with a matinee at 2pm on Sundays.
