Announcing the 2014 NHFF Panels
With just days to go, The New Hampshire Film Festival is proud to announce the slate of panel discussions and special industry guests for its upcoming 14th Annual festivities!
On Friday morning October 17th at 11 a.m., Matt Newton from the New Hampshire Film & Television Office leads a discussion on Filming in New Hampshire featuring representatives from the independent film community. What resources are available to you? Who in the state should you be talking to? What’s the creative atmosphere like? Whether you are new to the state, eyeing the state for a project, or are a local filmmaker who wants to get more information, this discussion is for you.
On Saturday afternoon October 18th at 2:30 p.m., a handful of industry representatives from some of today’s most successful and cutting edge companies in the independent movie business come together for a conversation on Digital Distribution. Panelists include special guests from A24 Films, IFC Films, Magnolia Pictures, Oscilloscope Laboratories, Seed&Spark and SnagFilms.
Later on Saturday afternoon October 18th at 4:30 p.m, Mike O’Malley headlines the much-anticipated Annual Comedy Panel alongside other featured guests including Greg Kretschmar of popular radio show Greg and the Morning Buzz, and actress siblings Rae Dawn Chong and Precious Chong.
On Sunday afternoon October 19th at 12 p.m., Erica Anderson from Seed&Spark presents a workshop on Crowdfunding to Build Independence. Crowdfunding is becoming a fundamental piece of most financing plans for independent film. However, many filmmakers miss the opportunity to turn their film funding campaigns into audience-building opportunities that can last an entire career — and provide the groundwork for distribution that you control. This class will provide the action plan most likely to create a lasting, flourishing, direct relationship with your audience.
