YOUNG FILMMAKERS WORKSHOP UNVEILING
Combining elements of film school and a film race, the Young Filmmakers Workshop takes place throughout the festival weekend for youth ages 14-18. Students produce, shoot, direct, edit, and complete short films under the direction of John Herman. Their weekend of work will be premiered for the first time on the big screen at The Music Hall.
FACTORY 25 AND OSCILLOSCOPE AWARDS CEREMONY
After the Young Filmmakers Workshop unveiling, the Granny Award presentation precedes the closing night film. These famous awards, chiseled from granite, the heaviest award in the film industry, are awarded to the best films of the 21st Annual New Hampshire Film Festival. Awards include the Narrative Grand Jury Award, Documentary Grand Jury Award, Best Feature, Best Documentary, Shorts Jury Award – Animation, Shorts Jury Award – Documentary, Shorts Jury Award – Live Action, Best Short Comedy, Best Short Drama, Best Screenplay and the 2023 People’s Choice award winners!
