These famous awards, chiseled from granite, the heaviest award in the film industry, are awarded to the best films of the 24th Annual New Hampshire Film Festival. This year’s Van McLeod Award recipient is Amy Greene. She is a Stunt Coordinator, Stunt Performer, and feature film Producer whose recent projects include A24’s Tony and The Drama, Academy Award® winning films The Holdovers and Sound of Metal, and Academy Award® nominated Knives Out. Other films she’s been a part of have won awards at Sundance, Cannes, The Independent Spirit Awards and NHFF. As a stunt performer, Amy recently doubled the female lead in upcoming Keanu Reeves action film Shiver. She’s had the pleasure of doubling Meryl Streep, Laura Linney, Chloe Grace Moretz, Amy Ryan, Amy Adams, Taissa Farmiga and others. As a stunt coordinator she collaborates with directors to create believable and authentic action, working with Oscar winning director Alexander Payne, and on films from A24, Apple, Netflix, Searchlight, NBC, Miramax, and more.
Named for Van McLeod, the former Commissioner of the NH Department of Cultural Resources, this award honors an individual with ties to the state of New Hampshire who has made a significant contribution to the film industry. An icon in the state’s cultural community, Van’s work has had an enormous impact on NH’s production footprint.
