Newton has been the director of the New Hampshire Film Office since 2005, promoting the state as a destination for film, television, and other media projects, and he works to support New Hampshire’s in-state film and video industry.

DAVID ABEL
DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKER, REPORTER

Abel is a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter for The Boston Globe and has covered wars, terrorism and the environment. Abel’s work has also won an Edward R. Murrow Award, the Ernie Pyle Award from the Scripps Howard Foundation, and the Sigma Delta Chi Award for Feature Reporting.

LAURA AZEVEDO
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, FILMMAKERS COLLABORATIVE

Azevedo has over 20 years experience as a production manager and supervising producer, with credits on national series such as NOVA, American Experience and FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman.

GENEVIEVE CARMEL
PROGRAM OFFICER, LEF FOUNDATION

Carmel is responsible for outreach, administration, project management and publicity on behalf of the LEF Moving Image Fund (MIF) and The DocYard, a Boston-based documentary screening series and a program of LEF.

GINNIE LUPI
DIRECTOR, NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE COUNCIL ON THE ARTS

As a working visual artist, Lupi has a long professional history in nonprofit organization management, grant writing and fundraising, statewide trade association leadership, and public policy analysis.
