Join us for a talk with award-winning filmmaker Lilian T. Mehrel about creating a powerful pitch worthy of a million-dollar prize. Selling someone on a film project, and its filmmaker(s), is an art and a vital step on the road to success. Lilian is the winner of the Tribeca AT&T Untold Stories Award for her debut feature Honeyjoon, which premiered at Tribeca and continued on a successful festival run. It won the Audience Choice Award at the 2025 New Hampshire Film Festival and collected audience choice awards at other festivals as well. Honeyjoon released in theaters June 2026.
The Tribeca AT&T Untold Stories Award is a collaboration between AT&T and Tribeca Festival that includes a $1.2M film production funding prize, mentorship and a premiere at the following year’s Tribeca Festival.
