Join Director Ben Shelton and Co-Star Tom Bergeron for a discussion and sneak peek at The Messenger, a television pilot written, directed and produced by Shelton and starring Bergeron, Jean Smart and RJ Walker. The project is described as a nuanced dark comedy/drama about the Messenger of Death, in the tone of a classic episode of The Twilight Zone.
Shelton’s screen credits include his recent work on the Netflix original film Candy Jar, starring Christina Hendricks, Jacob Latimore and Helen Hunt. He is also the creator of the scripted TV comedy series Impress Me.
Bergeron, best known for his work hosting Dancing with the Stars, and America’s Funniest Home Videos, got his start in the entertainment business working for WHEB radio in Portsmouth in the early 1980s and is a regular special guest at the NH Film Festival. This year he will again participate in the Annual Comedy Panel (Saturday, 9-10 p.m., at 3S Artspace).
