Presented by The Headlands Foundation
There are so many different ways to work on a film, television or commercial productions – comprising a wide variety of crew positions and areas of interest – all of which are organized into departments. To name a few… there’s the art department coordinator, grip, set dresser, set builder, locations manager, boom operator, costume designer, special effects, food service, first aid, electric, lighting technician, prop master, greenery, cinematographers, camera operators, still photographers, storyboard artists, set painters, makeup, hair, script supervisors, accountants and more.
Join a group of fantastic union crew members from right here in the region, who actively work on productions big and small, for a conversation and Q&A on what it’s like in the production field in New England. Hear about how they got started, what their days look like, what’s ahead, and how you can get involved. Whether you’re someone who is just getting started, have already dipped your toes into the field and wish to expand, or are simply a curious film-goer who wants a behind-the-scenes perspective, come and have your questions ready.
