State College, PA home of Penn State University, is the heart of Happy Valley, and its icon for 40+ years was Joe Paterno, the head coach of Penn State's football team. Paterno took on mythic stature as “Saint Joe.” In November, 2011, everything changed. Former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky was charged with 40 counts of child sex abuse. Filmed during the year after Sandusky’s arrest, this chronicles the firestorm of accusations about who failed the children of Happy Valley.
