Michelle, a woman adrift and floating through life after a tragic accident, spends most of her time with her overbearing best friend Kelly. When Michelle is asked to pose for a high schooler’s photography project on "strong female forms," an unlikely connection threatens Kelly’s influence. Set in and around a shopping center in the San Fernando Valley, SHE KEEPS ME YOUNG is an exploration of the small decisions that shape our lives, and the parts of ourselves we so often choose to give up.
