Young Malawian William Kamkwamba teaches himself to build a power-generating windmill from junk parts, successfully rescuing his family from poverty to become an energy icon for the developing world. William meets American entrepreneur Tom Rielly, who imagines an incredible future for him, and they develop a unique mentor relationship.
