Joyce Maynard receives the NHFF Lifetime Achievement Award

Tonight Executive Director Nicole Gregg awarded Durham, NH native Joyce Maynard with the 2013 NHFF Lifetime Achievement Award for her massive contribution to the literary and entertainment worlds. “Joyce’s contributions to the world of film, literature and journalism surpasses many of our imaginations,” Nicole Gregg.

Joyce is a novelist, reporter, blogger, radio commentator, syndicated columnist, bestselling author but most importantly a dynamic and lovely woman. She is a true tour de force, whose works have inspired not only filmmakers but legions of up and coming writers all around the globe. Her contributions range from writing for such prestigious publications as the New York Times Magazine and Newsweek, to personal memoirs and being one of the first authors to communicate daily with her readership through an online discussion forum. She is both greatly achieved and incredibly accessible, a smashing combination.
