New Hampshire Film Festival Releases 2017 Program Cover Art

We’re excited to unveil the official cover art design for the 17th annual New Hampshire Film Festival. This year’s cover art was designed by NHFF designer Ali Baxter and features photography from renowned photographer Phillip Case Cohen.

The design, which was unveiled before a packed crowd of supporters and sponsors at the One Hundred Club in late May, will grace the cover of the festival’s official program, as well as other promotional materials and marketing pieces.

Baxter, who designed the 2016 film festival cover art, said the process of selecting a design for the cover involves multiple people and hours upon hours of refinement. Once a color treatment is chosen — which this year is anchored in red, as well as blues, pinks and purples — a photograph of a local scene or site is selected. Having considered numerous photographs, Baxter said the image selected for this year’s cover art was a resounding favorite throughout the design process.

“Phillip Case Cohen is truly a talented photographer,” said Baxter. “We’re honored to use his work this year.”

Cohen said he considers the annual film festival a “can’t-miss” event that truly showcases the energy and essence of Portsmouth.

“The New Hampshire Film Festival is one of the most incredible events that we have on the Seacoast,” said Cohen. “It’s always a great time and unique opportunity to interact with so many passionate and talented artists from near and far and to enjoy thought provoking films and documentaries.

The festival, Oct 12-15th, is one of the most popular and anticipated cultural events in New Hampshire. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit www.nhfilmfestival.com.
