NH Film Festival Opens Call For Entries, Announces
2009 Dates for 9th Annual Film Fest Oct. 15 – 18 in Downtown Portsmouth, NH
PORTSMOUTH, NH – Attention filmmakers, The New Hampshire Film Festival
will take place Oct. 15 – 18 in downtown Portsmouth and the call for entries
is now officially open. Films and screenplays are already pouring in, according to organizers.
The NHFF has garnered national press coverage including in Moviemaker Magazine.
Filmmakers and writers entered more than 600 films and 100 screenplays in 2008
when more than 6,000 people attended the festival. Filmmakers can enter your films here with upload service from http://www.withoutabox.com.
"A ton of film and screenplay entries have already poured into the NH Film Festival
offices," said NHFF Executive Director Nicole Gregg. "We urge filmmakers and writers
to enter as early as possible this year so that we can keep up with the incredible
response we've been so fortunate to experience."

NHFF ANNOUNCES WINNERS
More than 6,000 attend weekend movie festival in Portsmouth.
The eighth annual New Hampshire Film Festival drew an estimated
6,000 attendants to downtown Portsmouth, making the four-day fest
the most successful in the event’s history.
“In this economy, we’re definitely encouraged at the attendance,”
said NHFF Executive Director, Nicole Gregg. “We had far more people
purchasing weekend passes and enjoying the entire event from Thursday
to Sunday.”
With a lineup of films coming from Sundance, Berliner and the Cannes
film festivals, the NHFF program is now comparable to major film festivals,
according to Gregg. The NHFF 2008 ran Oct. 16 – 19.
