2014 Mobile Video Competition Results

Mobile Video
Filmmaking gear is awesome, and we’re such geeks for all the great developments that have come out over the past year. But filmmaking is also about story, and sometimes keeping a story short is just as challenging as any other part of the process. So for the second year in a row, we challenged our online fans and followers to use their smartphones to tell a story in 6 or 15 second bites. We wanted to see what’s possible using the tools that are with us all the time. And we were thrilled with the submissions. There were superheros, dream sequences, stop-motion, and other absurdities that had us laughing out loud. Thank you to everyone that participated this year. And be sure to vote for your favorite from the judge’s Top 10 picks.

Winner: Neil Snow for Confucious Says…

Runner-up: Miles Woodworth for The Dream Keeper

But it doesn’t stop there. During the festival we’ll have our team on the street Vining and Instagramming alongside all our other fantastic volunteers. If you spot us, don’t be shy… help us out, play along, and make this year’s festival the best one yet.
