Come for the Films, Stay for the Party: NHFF 2012 Highlights

The New Hampshire Film Festival is far more than just films, the weekend is filled to the brim with excitement from constant press and check-ins at Headquarters, to educational workshops, to extravagant parties. Take a look at what the weekend has to offer beyond the extraordinary cinema.

GENERAL INFO

Headquarters opens Thursday morning at 10am at The Discover Portsmouth Center.  The 2012 Rule Boston Camera Headquarters, Mac Edge Internet Café, Flatbread Hospitality Suite and Olde Port Properties Panel and Workshop Stage are ALL at the Discover Portsmouth Center this year. Not the Sheraton Harborside.

There are TWO screening venues now on Thursday for NH Day & Night.  The Music Hall and The Music Hall Loft.

CEREMONIES

Attending our ceremonies is a great way to get involved with the festival, and the special presentations, live performances, and awards are not to be missed.  Entry is open to anyone who can produce a pass or ticket from any day of the festival.  All ceremonies take place at the Francis Ford Coppola Music Hall Mainstage and are preceded by a catered reception sponsored by White Apron in the Founder’s Lobby.

*NH Night Ceremonies, Thursday October 11th: 7pm-7:50pm Catered Reception; 7:50pm-8:10pm Van McLeod Award presentation; 9:55pm NH Night Awards presented by NHPTV

*Opening Night Ceremonies, Friday October 12th: 7:10pm-8:10pm Catered Reception; 8:10pm-8:25pm Opening Night Ceremonies

*Closing Night Ceremonies, Sunday October 14th: 5:40pm-6:20pm Catered Reception; 6:20pm-7:00pm Closing Night Ceremonies and Award presentation

PARTIES  

Even if you can only make it to one or two films, don’t miss the parties, they’re an awesome way to be a part of the festival, meet our passionate crew, and network with talented artists!

*New Hampshire Film and Television Office Flatbread Co. Party (Thursday 10/11 10pm-12am)
An incredible spread of flatbread pizza provided by Flatbread Co., cash bar, huge celebration of NH filmmaking and a solid kick-off to the exciting weekend.

*Absolut Vodka Party at The Portsmouth Gaslight Nightclub (Friday 10/12 10pm-12am)
Wonderful passed and spread appetizers provided by the Portsmouth Gaslight, cash bar, dancing, and a blow-out celebration for Opening Night.

*Robert’s Maine Grill Hospitality Tent (One Harbour Place Saturday 10/13 1pm-4pm)
Down on the decks at Harbor Place on the river.  Our sponsors, Stella, Moet and Chandon, Absolut and Francis Ford Coppola are pouring free samples of their best products, Robert’s award winning chowder will be provided, a dj will be spinning, and all of it takes place under a gorgeous Sperry tent, this afternoon on the water is as good as it gets.

*Moet & Chandon Party at Martingale Wharf (Saturday 10/13 10pm-12am)
Delectable hors d’oeuvres by the Martingale Wharf, the warm glow of fire pits on the Piscataqua, a dj, a cash bar, and an incredible party during the heart of the festival.

*Left Bank Films VIP Brunch at the 100 Club (VIPs only) (Sunday 10/14 11am-2pm)
The most amazing brunch spread you will ever set eyes on provided by the 100Club, flowing mimosas and bloody mary’s, all atop the gorgeous 100Club roof deck overlooking Portsmouth.

PANELS  

Our panels bring together top-notch industry professionals discussing and answering questions on key topics in the filmmaking world.  Whether you are a beginner, novice, or expert moviemaker, or are just a cinephile and want a behind the scenes glimpse into the fascinating world of cinema be sure to attend one of these educational and inspiring workshops.  All panels take place on the Olde Port Properties Stage at the Discover Portsmouth Center, and are free to anyone that can produce a pass or ticket from any day:
