Join star Tom Bergeron, co-creators/stars Michelle Barton and Heather Dowling, writer/director David Fickas and co-writer Brice Beckham for a discussion and special screening of Down the Middle, a television series pilot produced by Gary Bryman and Jennifer Clymer.
Show Description:
How will Karen, an uptight workaholic who lives for the job—and the possibility of being named “partner” at a boutique ad agency—survive when the owner announces his surprise retirement and reveals that Karen will be a partner – with his daughter, Aurora, a bohemian trust fund baby who has never had to punch a clock? They will either find a way to work together or destroy the “golden goose” that has funded Aurora’s shamanic journeys and been Karen’s dream job from the beginning.
About the Show:
Down The Middle started as a passion project for creators Michelle Lee Barton and Heather Dowling and has grown into a beautifully produced odd-couple comedy full of heart about partnership and working with people you don’t understand – and maybe can’t even stand to be around sometimes. The series introduces the tactic of “non-violent communication” in a bite-sized way to encourage people to discover how to communicate from different perspectives.
Tom Bergeron, best known for his work hosting Dancing with the Stars, America’s Funniest Home Videos and Hollywood Squares, got his start in the entertainment business working for WHEB radio in Portsmouth and is a regular special guest at the New Hampshire Film Festival.
