WET HOUSE explores the lives of men with chronic alcoholism who live at the Glenwood Residence—the largest wet house in the United States.
This film introduces, to most, the concept of wet houses—harm reduction residential facilities that allow chronic, relapsing alcoholics to continue drinking—as well as the controversial and often thankless work the institutions do.
We are inspired by James Joyce’s Ulysses: “Darkness shining in brightness which brightness could not comprehend.”
