Meet ‘Pitch Perfect’ Star John Michael Higgins & Friends at NHFF
Interested in meeting an actor whose film and TV credits range from Seinfeld and Arrested Development to Pitch Perfect and the hilarious dog show mockumentary Best in Show?
In addition to an extraordinary slate of films featuring U.S. and world premieres, the 15th annual New Hampshire Film Festival is giving attendees an opportunity to say hello to some of the event’s special guests.
John Michael Higgins will be anchoring a Press Meet & Greet session on Friday at the Discover Portsmouth Center. This special Meet & Greet is in advance of his participation in Saturday’s NHFF Comedy Panel (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Oct. 17, also at Discover Portsmouth Center), one of the most popular annual events in the festival’s lineup.
Higgins, one of the rare actors versatile enough to portray both former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and longtime Late Night host David Letterman, will also be serving on the festival’s Narrative Grand Jury, along with Tom Bergeron (prolific TV host of shows including Dancing with the Stars, Hollywood Squares and America’s Funniest Home Videos) and Rebecca Sosa, head of digital distribution at A24 Films.
Potential fellow Press Meet & Greet panelists include television host and author Tom Bergeron, noted Maine/New Hampshire actor/stand-up Juston McKinney and Jimmy Dunn, a Hampton-based comic who recently starred in the CBS sitcom The McCarthys. McKinney, Dunn and Bergeron will join Higgins at Saturday’s Comedy Panel.
The Press Meet & Greet is geared toward media representatives covering the festival, but it is also open to all. Organizers are encouraging members of the public to attend and hoping for a packed house.
