#NHFF Kick-Off & Press Party One Week Away! Thurs. 10/2, 5–7pm

The New Hampshire Film Festival Annual Press & Kick-Off is one week away, set for Thursday, October 2nd, 5-7pm at the Thirsty Moose Tap House on Congress Street in downtown Portsmouth, NH. This annual party will host media, press, film industry members and festival attendees in celebration of the upcoming four-day festival, which runs from Thursday, October 16 through Sunday, October 19.

The Press & Kick-Off Party is a fantastic opportunity for members of the local and regional media to claim their press passes (credentials can be requested at nhfilmfestival.com/press), pick up film media packets and interview local filmmakers whose films will be shown during the festival. The full list of Official 2014 NHFF Film Selections, (including the New Hampshire premiere of Paramount’s Men, Women & Children), can be found at nhfilmfestival.com.

The party is also a chance to hear breaking festival news, exciting special guest announcements and get a first look at the full festival schedule, including panels, parties, competitions, and, of course, screenings of the 100 films that made the cut for the 2014 New Hampshire Film Festival. The 2014 NHFF film mashup trailer will also be premiered at the party.

Special festival guests that have already been announced include Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea (attending the festival with his film “Low Down”) and Michelle MacLaren (Executive Producer of Breaking Bad, guest director of Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead). These special guests and more will be in Portsmouth during festival weekend, October 16 through 19.

The Press & Kick-Off Party is a not-to-be missed event for any media covering NHFF—or for any fans of NHFF—as local filmmakers, sponsors and the festival team gather in anticipation of another year of inspiring independent film. Appetizers provided by The Thirsty Moose, with a cash bar.
