The Granny Awards: Announcing the 2015 NHFF Jury Nominations
The Granny Awards are an ode to the best films in the New Hampshire Film Festival! Each year, standout films within several categories are crowned with a Granny, which is an engraved hand-carved slab of granite—a nod to the beautiful state of New Hampshire.
The majority of the Granny awards are voted upon by the NHFF Board, Executive Staff, Programming Team and in some cases the NHFF audiences, but the most prestigious of the bunch are the three Grand Jury Awards. Films nominated for the Feature Narrative Grand Jury Award, Feature Documentary Grand Jury Award, and NH Film of the Year are watched by separate juries awarding one winner in each category. We’re lucky to have a number of incredible film and entertainment personalities join the juror lineup, who are responsible for deciding which films receive Grand Jury Awards—and this year is no exception. Tom Bergeron, Ross Kauffman, and Peter Biello are just a few members of the 2015 lineup.
We’re proud to announce our 2015 Grand Jury Award nominations—check them out below!
